PRINCE TURKI AL FAISAL
The youngest son of late King Faisal directed the Saudi secret service G.I.D. for almost 24 years. On Nov 20, 1979 he was in Tunisia as part of the Saudi delegation to the Arab League Summit about Egypt's signature of the Camp David Accords. Woken up by a phone call at 6am, he was immediately dispatched to Mecca by Crown Prince Fahd. In Mecca, tried to maintain a tight ship among the Saudi forces that were rivalling instead of cooperating. But after one week of failed attempts to liberate the mosque, he asked an old friend for help: the Marquis De Marenches, chief of French foreign intelligence.
